Roosevelt Neighborhood Park Improvements:

Storm Drain Cross Connection Removal Project Survey

The City of Modesto is excited to announce it has acquired grant funding to construct a new underground storm drain system to be installed at Roosevelt Neighborhood Park. As a resident in the Roosevelt Neighborhood Park Area, your input is requested. Your opinion on the park improvements is important; please take a moment to complete the survey.

The City of Modesto operates and maintains 75 parks featuring:

  • Over Five Hundred Acres of Turf
  • One Wading Pool
  • Forty Four Tennis Courts
  • Eight Lighted Ball Fields
  • Eighteen Group Picnic Sites
  • Over Fifteen Miles of Bike Paths

What makes a park a park? Is it just a plot of land with grass, some trees and some play equipment? Or is there more to a park than just those things? A park is no longer a simple space with landscaping; it is now a place where we can go to understand, relate to and experience nature. It is alive with activities like children playing, people walking or jogging, concerts, movie nights, festivals, picnics and family gatherings.
