Business licenses are not transferable. A new license application, license fee and deposit (if applicable) are required for any change of ownership. The original license must be closed and gross receipts for the final quarter filed.
Notify the Business Licensing Division in writing or by phone of any change in the mailing address.
A new business license application must be filed and re-approved by Zoning and/or Fire. A $5 fee is required for all businesses that relocate.
Notify the Business Licensing Division in writing of a business name change. There is a $1 fee. A new business license application may be required.
To close your license, a final Declaration of Gross Receipts form needs to be filed, reporting your final date of business, and all taxes and license fees paid.
